Jam to the unique sound that can not be found anywhere else or brought to us by none other than the man that helped create the core sound that launched music as we know today. Russell is a former studio artist at Muscle Shoals Sound Studio from 1973-1982. He is also founding member of Jackson Highway Band that was produced by Jimmy Johnson and David Hood both were members of Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section. Lynyrd Skynyrd refers to them as the swampers in their hit song Sweet Home Alabama, also first recorded at Muscle Shoals Sound Studio. Chattanooga is no stranger to the tunes of Jackson Highway Band. In the late 70s JH had radio airplay and was on the top 10 chart in Chattanooga. Now after two decades Russell has re-vitalized his recording career with his CD “Back to The Swamp” to bring to Chattanooga.
